The rules the
archive defends.
First Contact Earth is built so a journalist, researcher, or skeptic can interrogate every claim it makes. This page is that interrogation — tiering, strength scoring, convergence weighting, and the institutional principles that override any feature on the site.
Not all sources are equal.
Every citation in the archive is tagged with one of four tiers. The tier sets the weight in convergence scoring and the visual emphasis in the Curator.
- Tier 1Official Record
Congressional record, ODNI / AARO / DoD / NASA / GAO releases, sworn testimony, declassified primary documents. Where the institutional record itself is the evidence.
- Tier 2Historical / Scientific
Investigated historical cases (Roswell, Rendlesham, JAL 1628), peer-reviewed scientific surveys, and the archives of recognized research bodies.
- Tier 3Witness Testimony
Pilot and aviator reports, first-person accounts, named eyewitnesses on the record. Treated seriously, never as proof on their own.
- Tier 4Consciousness Sources
Channeled traditions — Bashar, Ra, Seth, Pleiadians, Kryon and others — tracked for convergence with the public record. Comparative, not evidentiary.
Tier says what kind of source. Strength says how reliable.
A Tier 1 source can still be contested. A Tier 4 source can still be uniquely useful when nothing else describes a pattern. Strength is assigned per citation, not per tier.
Multiple independent sources, on the record, with primary documents or sensor data behind them. The skeptic's burden is on the alternative explanation.
Recent or partially corroborated. Strong enough to track, not strong enough to defend categorically. Status may move up or down as more material enters.
Single source, disputed provenance, or active disagreement between source classes. Cited so the disagreement itself is visible.
The signal we care about: independent source classes describing the same thing.
Witness + official + historical describing compatible facts strengthens a claim. A single class talking to itself does not. This rule decides what gets surfaced and what stays in the margins.
What we will not do, regardless of pressure.
The archive tracks where evidence converges. It does not require the reader to believe any single claim.
Every factual statement in the Curator, the Forecast, and the Timeline maps to a tier and a source. No source = not stated.
A congressional hearing and a channeled session are both worth recording. They are not worth the same weight, and the archive says so.
Reported, documented, alleged, corroborated, contested. Never proven, never confirmed, never definitely — the record will outlive the certainty.
When witnesses, officials, and consciousness sources disagree, the archive surfaces the disagreement rather than picking a winner.
Forecast windows are tracked publicly so they can be evaluated against what actually happens. A wrong forecast is part of the record.
This methodology will be revised. When it is, the previous version stays linked. The record is more important than any single revision of the rules.
